The CEL-24X Series includes the following models: CEL-240, CEL- 242, CEL-244 and CEL-246. Combining accurate and stable Digital Signal Processing technology with simplicity and low cost, the CEL-24X series is the very latest in our CEL range of general purpose sound level meters. They are ideal for most general noise measurement tasks in a broad range of applications. Compliant with ANSI and IEC accuracy specifications for Type 2 Sound Level Meters, the CEL-24X series appeals to both new and experienced users who want a simple, low cost - yet rugged and accurate - meter.

Applications
There are two main models in this series: the CEL-240 basic meter and the CEL-244 integrating basic meter, and two additional variants that feature on-board memory (CEL-242 and the CEL-246).

CEL-24X series meters are ideal instruments for basic workplace safety and industrial hygiene noise measurement. They can also be used for many other types of sound or noise measurement - especially where NIST traceable compliance is needed for proof of measurement accuracy. Other typical uses include community or nuisance noise complaints, vehicle and traffic noise, or to perform a simple measurement to prove that your product or service does not create unsafe or undesirable levels of noise.

The CEL-242 is a simple data logging version of the basic CEL-240 meter while the CEL-246 is a data logging version of the CEL-244 integrating meter. All versions have 2 measurement ranges and can display instantaneous (Lp) and maximum (Lmax) values of the sound pressure level. The CEL-244 and CEL-246 include the time averaged values Leq or Lavg. All CEL-24X instruments feature a standard �-20 threaded tripod mounting socket on the back of the meter, plus a wrist strap. The meters are powered by 3 AA alkaline batteries and will run for up to 35 hours. When powered from an AC-to-USB adaptor or from a computer via USB they will run continuously. Live digital output is available via a USB mini socket to the optional Windows� dB24 software package. This package also includes the CasellaDrive software to download stored runs from the instrument's memory in the CEL-242 and CEL-246 models. Analog AC (or optional DC) voltage output through a 2.5mm jack (socket) is also available to connect the CEL-24X to external loggers or recorders. Standard measurement or optional computer output kits are available, which are complete monitoring packages that include a calibrator, storage/travel case and accessories.
